Mr. Avtar Singh
Ambassador

Mr. Avtar Singh has assumed charge as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Guinea (Conakry) on 5 January 2023. 

He has served in various capacities in Embassy of India, Kabul (2017-2019), Embassy of India, Tehran (2014-2017), High Commission of India, London (2010-2014), Embassy of India, Beijing (2003-2006), High Commission of India, Maputo (1998-2001) and CGI, Vancouver (1992-1995). 

At headquarters, he has served in different capacities in Gulf, Finance, Establishment and Administration Divisions.

Mr. Singh is an English (Honours) Graduate from University of Delhi.  He speaks Hindi, English, Punjabi and rudimentary Portuguese.  He is married to Mrs. Rachna Singh and has a son and a daughter.
