Sandeep Sood
Ambassador of India to Republic of Guinea
Shri Sandeep Sood has served in various positions in his career spanning 30 years. At Headquarters, he has worked in Southern Division, Administration, Bangladesh-Myanmar desk and as the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) of the Ministry of External Affairs during his stint in the RTI Division.
Shri Sood has earlier been posted in the Indian Missions in Riyadh, Stockholm, Abuja, Tripoli, Wellington and Dakar. Much of his work abroad was mainly commercial, having been the Commercial Representative in several Missions, and also, political. He has a special interest in Africa and his current posting to the Republic of Guinea is his fourth in the continent. Before assuming charge as Ambassador to Guinea, he was deployed as Director in the Central and Southern Europe Divisions of the Ministry of External Affairs.
Shri Sood speaks Hindi, English, Punjabi and French. He is married to Vinata and they have a son.
