Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)/Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Scheme
As per Gazette Notification No.26011/01/2014IC.I dated 09.01.2015, all PIO cards issued till 09.01.2015 are deemed to be OCI cards. PIO Card scheme has been withdrawn vide Gazette Notification No.25024/9/2014F dated 09.01.2015. Applicants should apply for OCI card ONLY, as PIO card scheme is no longer in existence.
The applications for OCI are accepted in the Embassy between 09.30 AM to 12.30 PM on all working days. The collection time is between 2.30 PM to 4.30 PM.
Applicants are advised to ensure that no column of the application is left unattended. Apart from affixing photographs and signatures at the designated places on the application, it may also be ensured that the requisite number of spare photographs (four in all) in prescribed size are enclosed with the application.

Note: The Embassy does not accept Passport fees by Credit / Debit Cards or by personal cheques. No application will be accepted without the bank receipt of the payment of fee.
