The Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, launched in 2003–04 to strengthen the connection between young members of the Indian diaspora and their ancestral homeland.
Designed to provide participants with a first-hand experience of contemporary India, the programme offers a unique opportunity to explore the country's rich cultural heritage, rapid economic transformation, innovation ecosystem, scientific and technological advancements, and its journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047.
Since its inception, 87 editions of the programme have been successfully organized, with 3,153 young members of the Indian diaspora participating from across the world.
88th Edition – Young Professionals
Applications are now invited for the 88th edition of the Know India Programme, which will be held from 16 August to 29 August 2026.
This edition is specially designed for Young Professionals in the 24–28 years age group. A total of 25 participants will be selected for this two-week programme, which includes travel time.
